Utilize existing Wi-Fi Infrastructures
A Chameleon CTM-200 gateway can be configured to connect to existing Wi-Fi Hotspots.
How It Works
- A Chameleon CTM-200 is installed into a transit vehicle.
- The transit vehicle utilizes the device's cellular capabilities for location and vehicle data.
- When the transit vehicle returns to the maintenance yard at the end of a shift, it enters the yard’s Wi-Fi Hotspot.
- The CTM-200 is programmed to connect to this Hotspot. A server application connects to the device using the Wi-Fi connection and begins data upload.
- Data transferred can include picture, passenger count, stored device data and fare receipt data.
- The CTM-200’s cellular link remains connected during the Wi-Fi data transfer.
