Marine Asset Tracker

Marine Asset Tracker

How do you monitor mobile assets when they are out of cellular coverage? The Marine Asset Tracker houses a GPS receiver to track the path a log boom or barge takes and transfers this information to a passing tugboat equipped with a cellular modem.

The Marine Asset Tracker is a waterproof, low powered autonomous device that mounts directly to a log boom or barge. It tracks the movement of these assets even when out of cellular coverage and stores location data for up to 3 months.

Know all of your log boom details

Remotely access log boom information such as:
  • Asset number
  • GPS position
  • Number of sections
  • Number of bundles
  • Number of pieces
  • Cubic metres
  • Log average

How does it work?

A Marine Asset Tracker mounts to a log boom or barge and automatically communicates information to a nearby or passing data CTM-200 gateway. The gateway installs onto a tugboat or dolphin. The information is forwarded to a cell tower and received at a remote server making it available to you via any web browser.
