- How is the pendant's operating status indicated to the user?

- Is it possible to increase the range of a Man Down Pendant?
- What is the failure rate of a Man Down Pendant?
- What is the maximum RF transmit power of the pendant?
- Can I send a page message to the pendant to request its user to contact me?
Feedback mechanisms - LED lights, audible buzzer and vibrate alert - let the user know the operating status of the pendant (low battery, out of range notification, etc).
The Gateway can support up to 16 pendants simultaneously.
The range of the Man Down Pendant depends largely on the environment in which it is used. In an outdoor environment where the pendant has a clear line of sight to the gateway, ranges can be in excess of 800 meters (2600 ft). If the body of the person wearing the pendant is between the pendant and gateway the range will be reduced. In addition, trees, buildings, vehicles and other radio transmissions can also negatively affect the range. In most cases we see pendants in typical operating environments have a useable range from 200-500 meters (650-1600 ft).
Yes. By implementing a single or multiple Range Extender(s), the range of the Man Down Pendant is extended. A Range Extender acts as a hopping point to relay messages across a greater distance.
The pendant was designed to have a failure rate (mean time between failures) MTBF > 30,000 hrs.
The maximum RF transmit power of the pendant is 18 dBm or 63 mW (milliwatts).
Yes, when the pendant receives an incoming page message, it will beep/vibrate to notify the user that they need to acknowledge the page.
