Erratum 2
Change in wireless device service type from CDMA to GSM or vice-versa resets Ethernet MAC addresses.
Revision(s) affected:
R2.0.1.2225
Description of the issue:
If a CTM-200 is configured using cmd device cell TYPE to use a wireless device with a different service type than the previously configured device, then the Ethernet MAC addresses are being reset to default values.

For example, if you had a CTM-200 configured for an GSM/HSPA+ device and then reconfigured the unit to use a CDMA/EVDO device or vice-versa, then this issue would manifest.

Implication:
CTM-200 units configured for file based reporting will generate files with incorrect file names and require the workaround below.
Workaround:

Use the cmd setmac command after a cmd device cell TYPE change.

For example:
cmd device cell AC306
cmd setmac
cmd save
Status:
Fixed and will be available in the next CTM-200 firmware release.

Erratum 1
Wireless device configuration needs to be performed after a factory reset.
Revision(s) affected:
R2.0.1.2225
Description of the issue:
The wireless device configuration is cleared after a factory reset using the command cmd factory.

The CTM-200 includes a new feature for simplifying configuration of wireless devices. The cmd device cell TYPE command is used instead of cmd factory full SERVICE and cmd modemdevice commands. The TYPE parameter is of the form AC598, AC306, etc.

Implication:
Wireless network connectivity will not be available if the CTM-200 wireless device configuration does not match the wireless device installed in the unit. This can potentially cause a permanent loss of connectivity to the device if cmd factory is performed remotely.
Workaround:

It is not recommended to perform factory reset remotely. However, if it is necessary to do so, cmd device cell TYPE and cmd save commands need to be entered immediately after cmd factory in order to restore the wireless device configuration.

For example, when configuring for the CTM-200 for the AC306 wireless device, after a factory reset run the commands.

cmd device cell AC306
cmd save
Status:
Fixed and will be available in the next CTM-200 firmware release.
